About Us

Owner-Operator Brad Jordan worked for many outfitters in the Acadia region prior to purchasing Maine State Sea Kayak in Southwest Harbor. Over the years Brad grew tired of turning away families with young children, or without the "right" child to adult ratio. Growing up in Maine, with ample outdoor activities- he decided to eliminate the barriers to participation in his field. From 2014 on, he began saying yes on the phone and making it happen. By 2016, he had created Acadia Youth Kayak as it's own program within Maine State Sea Kayak. With the addition of youth E-biking in 2024, our team realized the full value of our focus on youth adventure opportunities. 

Today, Acadia Youth Kayak & E-bike is a brand of it's own. Welcoming families to Acadia National Park, and with a deep passion for getting youth hooked on the outdoors!
